The Removal

There is an account found in Genesis 18-19 that tells of an event that showed a compassionate side of God and a place where He had to allow judgment to fall on a people whose hearts had grown so cold. They had become prosperous but even more wicked over time. So wicked that God sent His angels to destroy the wickedness that had turned the hearts of the people, so much that when a righteous man named Abraham tried to reason for the people, he asked if they would spare them if there could be found only a few righteous ones. But there were a few too many, and so they went to remove the few righteous ones and gave the option to others to get ready and leave. But they would not.

So as soon as the righteous were taken out, great fire from heaven began to rain down on the area of Sodom and Gomorrah, destroying every living thing because of the blatant sinful immorality of the people there.

The last chapter of Revelation again tells us that there is a day coming when God is going to send His judgment upon the people of this world because the immoral behavior has returned. And again God will remove His righteous people first. Are you one of those or the other?

God has begun His judgment warnings. Someday soon the warnings will cease and the judgment will come in full force.
