You Can't Go Backwards, But You Can Go Forward

You’ll never get anywhere in life if you don’t move on. And what can make it worse is, you can still get run over even if you are going in the right direction, but just barely moving along.

Every one of us has wished we could go back and redo something we did at some time and place in our lives. Ninety-nine percent of the time we can’t, and we have to move on.

God has the ability to increase that by 99 percent because “all things are possible,” as God tells us in His word time and time again. If you read the Bible, you’ll know this to be true.

Right in the first part of the Bible He says, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (Genesis 18:14.) Well, the answer is “no,” but for us to try and fix some messes it is “yes.”

I, myself, have thought many times how I would like to be able to go back and apologize to many people for how I hurt them or have done something I should not have done. But I have had, as you should as well, to just give it to God, and let Him work it all out in His order.

I don’t mean for you or me to just move on with condemnation and live our lives beaten down by our past mistakes. I don’t know how God fixes things, but I know in some roundabout way He will, no matter what the enemy of our souls tries to tell us.

When we accept Jesus’ gift of forgiveness, we are forgiven – period. And we can move on and still become better people than we used to be because of His free gift of salvation and total forgiveness. And that should get an “amen” from every believer.
