They All Do Their Own Thing
It amazes me to read one of the fundamental Christian teachings of the Bible that is found in places like Psalm 133:1, which tells us, “Beloved, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” And again the unity of the believer is mentioned in Ephesians and many other places throughout God’s word; but it’s not really practiced by Christian leadership.
In some towns across America, half or more don’t even know the other Christian churches in their community. Yet they all speak of the unity of their believers. It’s true even more so as heads of ministry won’t fellowship with other ministry leaders except those in their own denominational circles.
There always is a remnant that will. Not everyone fits in this boat, but the boat has way too many in it and needs to be turned over so each one must help the other get to shore. Life as we know it will get so turned upside down so that we will drop our prejudice of men and act as one united force working under the banner of Christ to get a more spiritual work done- instead of nice community get-togethers that are not much more than a social event.
This world has big problems that are getting bigger, and the real need for help and spiritual guidance has to come from the church as a united force to be able to successfully deal with the issues of the day as Christ would and not manmade opinions and personal agendas.
When the church really will put aside themselves and be to this world, as a whole, the example it should be, then you’ll see great changes for God’s kingdom come about.
