The Journey

All of us are on a journey through life, and it takes us all to some interesting places. Some we enjoyed being at, and some we probably wished we’d never taken. Every one of us is on a journey that will end one day.
There are many scriptures that speak about our journey and its end, like Psalm 71:18, where it says, “When I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me until I have declared your strength to this generation.” We are all here for just a period of time.
God knew us before we were even born. He says so in Psalms 139:16 where it says, “Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed, and in your book they all were written. The days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.” So God had a plan before our journey ever started, and even until our end of the journey, as it says in Psalms 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
You see, there are basically three types of people according to the teachings of the Bible. (1) Those who choose to live in Egypt (a life of bondage to sin). (2) Those who say they will follow Jesus (but wander in the wilderness of unbelief as to who Jesus really is for them). (3) And then there are those who will determine to follow Jesus regardless of themselves or others and enter into the work of God’s Promised Land.
So the question today is, “Which one of these three are you?”
