If you want to grow, I mean really grow, in the things of God, then you must read and learn about how God has used men and women just like you to change the world. Here is a story from 1915, told by a great evangelist, John G. Lake:

“One night a man came to where I was preaching. He was a coal miner and had lived a hard and terrible life, so terrible that he tried to take it from himself. He’d shot himself in the mouth but the bullet had come out the back of his neck, not killing him but left him in constant agony and pain, violent waves of pain with a rigid neck.

As he came to the platform to be prayed for, I pleaded for compassion from the congregation for this soul to be touched of God.

I put my hands on him and the power of God instantly loosed his neck joint and all pain was gone. Looking up into my face, the man said, “Who did that?” and I told him the Lord Jesus. He dropped to him knees and said, “Brother, show me how to find Christ. I want to know Him.” Suddenly over the audience one after another raised their hands and gave glory to God, even those who weren’t Christians.”

There are thousands of others like Lake who choose to let God use them to touch other lives. Why don’t you choose to let God use you today?
