Polluted Offerings

We are living in a day when many have never seen so much change and drastic things happening. Well, hold on to your hat, for it is only the beginning of what is to come. Just before the ending of the Old Testament in the Bible, there is the chapter in Malachi which talks about how the situation for a rebellious people looks. I believe chapter 1, verse 6, says it best where God says, “If then I am the Father, where is My honor, and if I am the Master, where is My reverence?”

It doesn’t surprise me at all to see some of the most unbelievable situations and judgments by mankind happening in this day. People, even some churches, have rejected God’s ways and have replaced them with their own until now we have such a polluted way of thinking. We’ve given offerings thinking we can change the country’s situation. We’re willing to vote for the lesser of two evils rather than give a vote for a Godly underdog who, even if they don’t win, at least did what was right according to God’s Word.

Society is so polluted with sinfulness, and much of it has crept into some churches and Christian organizations. It doesn’t surprise me any longer when ridiculous decisions are made by our leaders. We have set ourselves up for failure unless we repent to God. It is only going to grow more out-of-control. Regardless, God is still God. He will win out. But the big question is, are we going to stand with Him or go our own way?
