I Look for the Day
In the day we now live my real hope is in the future with God. There I believe is now our only hope.
I look for the day where the church is full, when there are worshippers in the morning, at noon, in the evening and through the night.
I look for the day when people will truly seek the God who created them and reject the lures of the world. When the people will call upon the name of Jesus to deliver them from their transgressions and offer praise with their lives to the most high God.
I look for the day when a true holiness will come from the people of God, a lifestyle that reflects the likeness of God’s Son to all the peoples of the earth, where a Spirit of humility and true compassion will radiate toward their fellow man.
I look for the day when the miracles of heaven begin in greater abundance as the power of a Holy God uses His people and brings many to His kingdom, when God’s people honor His word.
I look for the day when our tears turn to joy as we see the hope of our salvation as He comes and brings the true children of God home to live forevermore. To live in peace and safety, no longer fear evil or the elements of natures’ ways or feel the string of sorrow or disease that ravishes our earthly bodies.
I look to the day when darkness has gone and the enemy of God’s creation is fully dealt with and his kingdom finalized to never rise again.
This will be the day when people who chose to obey God by following His Son Jesus will experience a life forever void of sin’s grip and the hand of a loving Father who will take care of them for eternity. I believe this day is soon to arrive, for it does draw nearer as each day passes.
I look for that day.
