The Witness

I’m sure you know someone who has been called to tell all they know about an incident they witnessed. A person’s personal testimony, at times, can mean the difference in the outcome of a trial- guilty or innocent.

Many times and in many places, a personal testimony is used to find information or truth in a situation. A witness telling what they know or saw can be the key to changing the destiny of a person’s life forever.

The Bible says to us in Isaiah 44:8, “You are my witnesses,” and in Isaiah 43:10, 12, here again it says, “‘You are my witnesses,’ declares the Lord.”

So the big question is: are you a credible witness of who God is? If called upon, could you give an accurate testimony of who His Son, Jesus, is? People say they are of the Christian faith, yet they are unable to give a knowledgeable description of the Father and His Son, Jesus the Christ.

If you were put on the witness stand, would you be able to convince a jury that you truly know the Lord? Do you have enough personal knowledge and experiences to help someone else know the Lord? Christians need to be reliable witnesses.

Remember: The answers you give, when asked, need to be the truth- not hearsay or your own interpretation. Hearing the truth, backed up with the Bible, will enable a person to accurately see who God is and give them a clear picture of who God can be in their own life.

In this trial, God is the judge. Only the truth will stand. The verdict is eternal.
