Open Doors

I guess we understand what that means. If you leave a door open, something can come in. You shut the door, and it can keep something out. Pretty basic thinking.

I’d like you to consider, though, another type of door that gets opened time and time again, and it can let all types of things in: the door to your hearts and lives.

The door left open to your heart can cause much more havoc than any other door. The enemy of your soul and mine constantly looks for these openings and will take full advantage to come in and destroy- to steal and disrupt your life.

What are these areas? There can be many. Watching pornography, that’s an easy one. But what about anger? It opens the door to Satan’s ways, too. There is alcoholism. That’s another easy one; but what about watching television programs and movies that have questionable content like sex, murder and the supernatural world? That gives openings to dark forces and curses and can cause people to experience uneasy feelings. There is a spirit behind all these things, and the list can go on and on- from how you dress to how you talk about others or the words you say.

When you open the door to your heart and life, something is going to come in. The question is: what?
