He’s Not Just a Man
You see, Jesus was no mere man. He is the Son of the Living God of the whole universe. No one can ever compare to Jesus. One man who came from a small village from nowhere has affected millions of lives around the world for centuries. Countless lives like my own have been given a new start in life and for some of us time and time again.
Today we have more information about everything than other generations, yet people know less about Jesus and have beliefs based on man’s opinions rather than God’s word. But the words of Jesus stand alone. He is truth. His words are power. His words establish healing. His words can change your life.
The words of Jesus have been tested because Jesus was not a man like us that would lie, but would only present truth; and we have to deal with it by accepting or rejecting. Jesus told us all in Luke 8:17, “For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.”
There is a record kept on every one of our lives, and many people don’t want that exposed. But it will be unless you confess your sin to Jesus and He puts them under the blood that He shed for my sins and yours. Jesus wants to use every one of us to work in His Kingdom, and you’ll never know what that is until you turn your life over to Him and do what He asks us all to do. In Matthew 4:19, He said “come follow me.” Not one of us in this life is really doing what we are supposed to be doing unless we are following Jesus. Jesus didn’t come here to this earth to start a new religion or establish a denomination. He came because His Father needed a once-and-for-all sacrifice to save mankind from sin.
Jesus worked many miracles, more than could be written in the Bible. Jesus overcame every obstacle as a man to prove we can as well if we will put our trust in Him. He was beaten almost to death, but then He was crucified to make sure He died. But then the change came for all mankind.
Jesus rose from a grave to conquer sin’s grip on humanity, and for any person who wants it, it’s available. There is a hell that some people will go to because they won’t live for Jesus, and that is a fact. Jesus doesn’t want that for any of us, but He leaves the final decision to you and me, and where we go from there will be determined by our choices here on earth. Jesus loves you more than anyone else can. He offers a clean slate, healing, deliverance from bondages and strengths in your life, help every day, and an eternal home.
He laid His life on the line for you. What have you done about it for Him?
