Battle for the Church

Christians who were once on fire for God, churches who once were full and reaching people, need their spiritual batteries charged. We all need this, and the outlet is in heaven. Job 22:28 says, “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.”

I believe God wants to move, that there is still hope for this world for the people around me and you. They need to see the true light of the gospel being lived out in front of them wherever I go and you go. It is Jesus that has been provided by our Father to the Christian, to the world to wake it up. It’s the Christian’s responsibility to bring, without fear of rejection or persecution, the light of the gospel. It’s the Christian that must stand stronger than ever in the hour we now live.

Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light, and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Jesus never performed His work as God’s Son in darkness. He never tried to look like the world so He could be accepted by it. He wasn’t interested in neither religion nor the traditions of men, wearing certain clothes to look hip or having lots of jewelry or a special hairdo.

Jesus came here to be to us only what the Father had need of Him to be. And if you have the same Father, then you, as well, are to be unique and not caught up in being someone you are not and just be the light to the world God has made you to be. The light in any Christian only comes from the work of Christ in them. He is the difference that makes your life shine, and if you’re here today, you’re here for an intended purpose to let Him shine through you. A Christian’s life is to be shown as an instrument of Christ here in this life. For a Christian offers something better than what this world offers.

John 8:12 says, “Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”
